ARC Review: Rooted in Love by Té Russ

This review has been sitting in my drafts since... For over a month. But it wasn't because I didn't want to share it with the masses, because I thoroughly enjoyed Patrick and Naomi. Life... That's all I can say.

Anyway, Rooted in Love is about a divorcee: Naomi Holt & widower: Patrick Bennett. Patrick was previously mentioned in his sister's book, Claimed by a Knight and I couldn't wait to see how he was able to find love after losing the love of his life. When it comes to life after loss, it is a tricky thing to navigate; especially if you have young children like he did. However, Patrick was able to get through the tragedy because of the people he was surrounded with.

The one thing I have enjoyed about the majority of the books I've read by Té Russ is that family dynamic. Yeah, there were a few trifling ass mamas/daddies, but for the most part, they had a great parentage and the siblings are *heart eyes*. Rooted in Love was no different. Both Patrick and Naomi had loving families. In fact, they met because he was doing a favor for his sister, Paige.

In this story, the love that fell into Naomi and Patrick's laps was organic, sweet, and right on time. I loved how the children were involved and let me just say, I LOVE Lucy. She was cracking me up with her antics. The bond between her and Naomi were beautiful to see. Them dancing together for social media and Naomi performing surgery on PJ were just two of the things that solidified it for me that the family was meant to include her. And I also enjoyed seeing the fall through of all the previous characters in Té catalog. It's always nice to see them pop up and remind me of why I love them so much. Even the town ho got a reappearance. *Rolling my eyes HARD*

There are so many moments in this book that made me sigh in romantic fantasy about Plant Bae and Doctor Bae. The meet ups at Knight Brewing, Rootz Nursery, and even at Naomi's place where Patrick and his employees did magic on her yard. They were a very cute couple and very deserving of the happy ending that they received. Which is why I chose the quote that I did for this review. Although it's a little lot late for an ARC, I still wanted to give my review as I promised my sis. So, thank you Té

Russ for allowing me to receive an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. Sorry that it has taken me this long to get it out.
